New Solutions... Bio TPU by Merquinsa®

Designers from the sport, footwear, electronics or the automotive industry, among others, can now move from TPU or TPE to bio-based TPU  - a Unique invention from Merquinsa awarded in 2008 by Frost & Sullivan with the “Green Excellence Award of the Year”.

Bio TPU by Merquinsa®are bio-based TPU resins with bio content ranging from 32% to 75% as certified according to ASTM-D6866 - for example, Pearlthane® ECO 12T95 (95 Shore A) is a Bio TPU resin containing 32% of renewable material as certified according to ASTM-D6866, suitable for injection moulding and extrusion applications.

According to an independent preliminary life cycle analysis, manufacturing BIO TPU contributes up to 40% less global warming emissions*.
