• Monitor behaviours, audit, apply systematic control and revise programs to adopt prevention practices and technologies that are safer for people and the environment, through a continuous improvement plan.

Merquinsa has been working on a more effective strategy and culture for sustainable development among employees, customers, and suppliers for some time; demonstrating its commitment to the protection of its employees and environment with an ISO 14001 certification since 1999 and its adhesion to the "Responsible Care®" program from 2001-2012.

Not only is Merquinsa committed to minimizing the impact on the environment, but also to the responsible use of natural resources and innovating in technologies deriving from renewable sources. Merquinsa made significant progress back in 2007 in the development of the first TPU resins made from renewable sources according to ASTM-D6866 (instead of the traditional petroleum-based TPU products) .
