Water dispersable polyurethane pellets:
the new PU dispersion production technology ![]()
| This paper describes a new technology for producing polyurethane emulsions from polyurethane pellets containing ionomeric groups in its composition and the main adhesive properties of these emulsions. It also comprises a global comparison between solvent-based and water-based polyurethane adhesives. |

Technological advantages of polyether
copolymer based TPUs ![]()
| This paper describes a unique family of TPUs developed and optimized by Merquinsa over the past year. It comprises a general description, as well as the advantageous properties and main applications of this family. |
|
Super high crystalline TPUs for the market of non-solvent
based adhesives ![]()
| This paper describes a unique family of TPUs with two main special properties: a very high crystalline structure and a high thermoplasticity. It also describes the main applications in which a TPU with both peculiar properties is especially suitable: additives for reactive hot melts and thermobonding (heat-sealing) including shoe stiffers, textile and automotive industries. |

Slush Moulding for the automotive market : special advantages
of a new range of TPUs ![]()
| This paper describes the use of TPUs in slush moulding method for producing different objects for the automotive industry: skins for automotive inside parts as instrumental panels, consoles, glove door boxes, door panels, etc. . It also describes the main requirements of a TPU for this application and the current Pearlcoat® range developed specially for this application. |

High performing Polyether-Copolymer based TPUs
![]()
| This paper describes with detail the structure of a TPU and the influence of type of soft-segment and molecular weight of the soft-segment in the phase separation of the TPU. A new soft-segment is presented (polyether-copolymer) with originates a new range of TPUs with a hydrolysis resistance similar to a polyether, but maintaining excellent mechanical properties, elasticity and processability. |

Environment-friendly solvent-based TPU adhesives
|
| This paper is focused in environmental issues related to the use of solvents in the adhesives industry. It describes a new TPU-green solvent system developed in Merquinsa, based in using several solvents not included in the VOC and TRI lists, not harmful to human health and outstandingly green under different points of view. The adhesive properties of polyurethanes solved in these solvents are also included. |
