MERQUINSA has developed a new technology that allows to obtain linear, aromatic thermoplastic polyurethanes in pellet form, DISPERBOND dispersible TPU, with ionomeric groups incorporated in. These TPUs can be dissolved in acetone. In a further stage, and through an emulsification process, an aromatic, aqueous TPU dispersion can be obtained.
