Innovation is a key element in Merquinsa's mission. In order to keep going forward, we have structured an innovation pool integrated by the following three departments, constantly interacting with our marketing and sales people:

• Research
  A group of chemistry scientists, working with the understanding of the chemical composition, structure, rheology and behavior of TPUs with the aim of synthesizing new polymers, both at laboratory and industrial scale, to serve existing or future customer's needs.
  
  
  
• Engineering Group
  Their main mission is the continuous optimization of our production processes in order to improve our quality, increase production flexibility, reduce production costs and develop, together with the R&D team, new unique processes leading to products with advantages for our customers.
  
  
  
• Application Laboratories
  A group of multidisciplinary technicians working in the processes used by our customers to give them technical support and to better understand their needs, find new properties from the existing products, proposing modifications to the existing range, in order to improve its properties or adapt them to the specific needs of a customer or segments of customers, and finally contributing to the development of new products together with the R&D team.
